Dengue - optional remedy
Anna aka Ah Ying Jie..our line dance kawan's daughter in law is down with dengue since last week.
There is no known cure for dengue. The patient just have to wait for her/his body immune system to build up resistance against dengue and fight its own battle. Sometime, this may leads to very life threatening stages.
When my eldest daughter contracted dengue in mid Mar '08(rite after the 1st term school holidays), she was adminted to Damansara Specialist. She was on drip 24/7. My mother in law boiled bitter gourd & chicken soup for her to help increased the white platelet counts. Unfortunately, even after the 3rd day, the platelet was still dropping.
Reading sumwhere from an onforwarded mail, that papaya leave juice can help, I plucked, washed and pounded 2 leaves to squeeze for the juice. Strain it with either muslin clothes or the normal coffee sieve. Do not boil or add water.
Gave her one Chinese soup (table) spoon on Day 3 evening. Surprisingly/fortunately (coincidentally?), the next day her platelet increased to 127 (from 83 the day before). Gave her one more dose and she was discharged the next day (Day 5) with platelet of 148..(normal min is 150)..
Please take/consume only one table spoon per day as this 'chlorophyll' drink is very cooling.
Also heard that the pegaga juice can be taken as a cure for dengue. In Cantonese it's called "pan sai woon" - for the smaller leaf version, bigger leaf version, called "pan tai woon". These leaves are similary crushed and pounded for their juice. They can be found at the wet market in BBSB or Taman Tun Dr Ismail

This is really a good tip. Never know papaya leaves can cure dengue. But the pegaga leaves is what some of us plant in our garden right? The name "pan sai woon" sounded like "shitting woon" :P
Hey, thats good but I hope that someone can recommend me some herbs or remedies for my pimples(that never seem to stop growing).
