Your Blog

Dear Christina,
At last you have an issue log to keep the IT manager busy. It is both glad and sorry to mention that no one has since logged in any issue after the department existed some 2 years' ago. At times the team wonders if the Department has really existed at all. It's of no secret that the country's economy has not been in the best shape for the recent months and news have been travelling around that there may be voluntary separation scheme and that the BRP-Linedance IT department is in a verge of closing down.  It is not doubt that someone have passed these malicious comments around that the department is always being in deep hibernation and I truly hope to have your understanding that  this is undesirable however such situation was uncalled for.

Back to the issue on your BLOG, please be mindful that all the photos and images that are uploaded in Blogger Blogs go straight into Picasa Web Albums and your issue could be due to the lack of management of this storage space. Go direct to Picasa Web and log in using your Google account. The home page is the “My Photos” page. You will see all your albums that are currently stored in Picasa Web. The Blog title is the name of the album and the number in brackets next to it tells you the number of images currently stored. At the bottom of the page, you can see a message in green small font which gives you an overall idea of how much storage space all your Blog images have taken up.

Manage Blogger Image Storage Space

Click an album. You will be amazed to see some pictures that you may have uploaded onto your Blog and thought you had either removed, deleted or not used them. For instance, they may be images uploaded into draft posts or deleted posts, or images that had been wrongly uploaded. These images still reside in your account and are occupying the precious storage space. Now is the time to do some housekeeping. If you are very sure that a photo or picture has not been used and should not be there, click that picture and delete it. Note that if you had a link to this photo from your Blog posts, the link would be broken once it is deleted.

When poring through the photos, you may find some missing ones, in particular those that you had recently uploaded through your Blog posts. Refresh the Picasa Web Album page and the images will be there.

Blogger automatically saves all your new writing as Draft posts. This may be lead to a pileup of draft posts. For example, you could be working on a post with uploaded images but did not publish it. You may log off and when you are back into your account, you create yet another new post, forgetting that the earlier draft post had been stored. Make it a point to visit Posting -> Edit Posts and look through the lists of stored posts. Delete the draft posts that are no longer wanted. If there is a picture uploaded into that post, there will be a message asking you if you would like to keep the picture or have it removed. Unless you have copied the image location for future use or have other posts linking to this picture, it is better to delete it. It will then be removed from your Picasa Web Album.

Hope the above clues help in resolving your issue. If not, we will route this issue to Computer Clinic.

Best regards,
Manager

How to convert your video from AVI to WMP format

Hi, dear friends,

With the help of friend suggestion, I have yesterday tried and successfully convert the video AVI to WMP(Window Media Player)format for fast downloading to our Blog. (1MB is equivalent to 1,000kb)

For this kind of conversion you can use Window Media Maker or Canon Zoom Browser EX whichever is easy for you.

This is the Main page of Window Media Maker. Label A -to import the video from your computer,
Label B - to enter titles to highlight it on the video and
Label C- after dragging the completed video to the timeline below you need to save it your computer.

Make sure the collection in this view is empty to get new import video to this column.

If when you enter this main page and you still have your previous video just click to arrow which I have circled it. The previous video will be gone and you can import new video to this page.

Below here u can see the two different type of editing - show timeline and show storyboard.

Show timeline - Part by part of the video will be shown here
Show storyboard - You can do cutting of the video section that you dont require and you can also see the time here.

SECOND PART on the Window Media Maker

Below are the second part - how to insert text into the video. You need to go to Edit Movie and click on the Make an AutoMovie. Click to the more option below and it will be shown as the second photo . This is only a few easy steps and I hope you will enjoy yourself.

Guide To Print Step Sheets

Dear Kim,

To print, you can click the dropdown button (Refer to the below pic). If it fails, you may have to click on the yellow button and get access to Scribd before you can print.
Anyway, I better dun "sai hey" coz Christina has managed to get it right and she is in the midst of drafting a "User Guide" for the benefits of every members.

While development of this User Guide take time (Normal la..like a mother hen trying to hatch an egg also not tat easy..).

May i advise every member to be a little bit more patient in this aspect...(Tomorrow is Agong's birthday, relaks-la -..)

Blogger Help

Dear Young Man,

I was once a blogger newbie but now i become an expert liao..I have consulted the BRP LineDance Club IT Dept on the same issue and below is their reply which you may refer to troubleshoot your mystery for photo uploaded not appearing on blog page:-
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Dear Blogger User,

In response to your inquiry, our response is as follows:-

1. Did you click on the "Done" button after loading?

2. If step 1 is done but photo still not appearing, it could be due to the server was intermittently down before you got your blog published. Therefore the photographs were in fact not being saved properly. (I believe in this possibility as you know how efficient is our jaring and tmnet)

3. Failing 1 & 2, it could be due to your computer got virus liao.. (This is always the case, but before you send your computer for service by anyone, remember to delete any indecent photos in your PC, don't let the crook grab hold of the copies or else the consequence is unwarranted!)

4. Failing condition 1,2,3, it could be that you have actually dozed off half way doing the uploading. In your dream, you saw the screen prompted "DONE" and you clicked the button, not realising that it was done while you were in the dreamland.....(Don't be surprised, it happens to me before)

Anyway, if all the above conditions do not resolve your mystery, pls log on to the following URL for a step-by-step guide in picture uploading.

Good luck!
